It is difficult to present Magia del Duende in a formal way as it is such an innovative, original, and multifaceted center – thanks to the activities and services we offer and what visitors can experience here.
If we had to summarize the place in two words, it would be: Art & Love.
Our vision of humanity and the planet is one where each person has something personal and unique to offer – to themselves, to others, and to the Earth – through their creativity, and therefore through Art in its broadest sense: music, dance, painting, sculpture, writing; but also the art of meditating, of practicing agriculture with respect and devotion, the art of socializing and appreciating others for who they are.
Our space is designed to foster the experience of receiving and transmitting that ineffable “something”, and Love is the universal key that opens these magical doors of perception: to be able to love others, one must first love oneself, and to do so, learn to know oneself.
Traditional ceremonies and rituals with sacred plants are one of the ways to reach these states of transcendent consciousness and to experience the pure immanence of being present in the here and now – but not the only one.
Unlike most typical centers for plant medicine diets and retreats in the Amazon region, which tend to offer pre-set “all-inclusive” packages, Magia del Duende provides much broader possibilities and perspectives, and has specialized in customizing your stay over years of experience. Our visitors can choose whether or not to engage in plant work during their stay.
Many simply come to visit us to recharge and soak in the energy of the surrounding jungle, the river, the natural spring, the animals, and the sacred mountains of the Cordillera Escalera.
Others come to explore the mysterious hot springs and stunning waterfalls nearby, go on boat trips to discover the surprising native communities along the Huallaga River, or immerse themselves in the rich, local and traditional culture offered by the picturesque village of Chazuta: eco-friendly paper, artisanal chocolate, native cuisine, ancestral ceramics, handmade rubber bags, herbal soaps, and much more.
And nothing stops you from combining all these activities during your stay for a full experience @Magia_del_Duende!
